From the 18th to the 29th of January, the Paris national Opera will be presenting L'Après-midi d'un faune by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Together with the opera L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, this choreography will be part of a double programme dedicated to two of France’s best-known composers: Debussy and Ravel. Out of her continuing fascination with the relationship between pure movement and music, De Keersmaeker is interpreting Debussy’s Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune. For this programme, the choreography, developed in 2006, has been rewritten for two dancers from the Rosas company. The music is performed live by the Opera’s orchestra under the baton of Vello Pähn.
