Rosas

In Vocabularium (2023), Cynthia Loemij and Boštjan Antončič, who joined the company in 1991 and 2005 respectively, present over ninety excerpts from the more than sixty works Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas created in the past forty years, each in the original costumes. The result is a fascinating overview of the oeuvre that reveals important evolutions in both dance and costumes. This video was made in collaboration with Ruben Desiere and Olivia Rochette, on the occasion of the exhibition ECHO. Wrapped in Memory currently on view at MoMu - Fashion Museum Antwerp. In this unique lecture performance, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker will annotate Vocabularium live. The choreographer will discuss a selection of Rosas performances in more detail, and will offer invaluable insights into costume choices, collaborations, and the development of the Rosas movement material in the past forty years.
